Looking for a meaningful way to grow in your faith alongside others?
Spiritual Life Groups (SLGs) are small, relational gatherings designed to help you live out your faith in everyday life—not just talk about it. These aren’t Bible studies or accountability groups. They’re intentional communities where people learn how to care for one another through real-life experiences, honest conversation, and shared spiritual growth.
Each group is small (no more than 12 people, with 8 being ideal), creating a comfortable and welcoming environment where everyone has space to be known and heard. At the heart of every meeting is one simple, powerful question:
“So how has it been living as a Christian since we last met?”
From there, the conversation grows naturally. Members share openly about their week—their challenges, their growth, their doubts, and their moments of grace. Together, the group practices what it means to “watch over one another in love” by listening, encouraging, and supporting one another.
Meeting times and locations vary based on each group’s facilitator, making it easier to find a group that fits your schedule. Some meet in homes, others at church or local cafés. There’s flexibility built in so you can find a rhythm that works for you.
Getting started is simple. Whether you’re new to UMCPB or have been here for years, there’s a place for you in an SLG.
